Classes: All of our classes are designed to provide you with the level of personalized instruction that you require. Even with several students in a class we will provide you with individual instruction from either a Dive Instructor, Assistant Instructor or Dive Master as needed to assist you with meeting the required class objective (dive standard) to allow you to become a safe and skill proficient diver. Please call us if you think you need some extra attention to learn to dive. As former public school educators, we also specialize in teaching children and adolescents to dive safely.

Class Descriptions: Please pre-register for all classes. Click on the following links to take you down the page to the class descriptions.
All classes will be held at the Green Mountain Recreation Center (13198 West Green Mountain Drive~Lakewood, CO~From W. 6th Ave and Kipling St.go SOUTH on KIPLING ST ; Turn RIGHT onto W ALAMEDA AVE Continue to follow Alameda Pkwy ,2.6 miles to W Green Mtn Dr; Turn LEFT onto W GREEN MOUNTAIN DR. <0.1 miles, make a RIGHT, just behind the Church into the parking lot) unless otherwise noted. During the winter season all classes are held Sundays from 2-5 pm. All gear with the exception of thermal protection will be provided for the class session. During the summer our outdoor pool facility is open and the times of classes may be scheduled to meet your scheduling needs.
** A Physician’s release to dive may be required for some students who are wishing to participate in a SCUBA class. Please contact us for further information about this or to get the release to take to your physician. You may not participate in any underwater SCUBA activities if you have health conditions which have not been released by your physician prior to the class.

Class Dates:
All classes that are marked with a * are available on the given dates. However, pre-registration is mandatory due to need for instructor coverage. Please call 303-942-0399 to register for any class or send an email to twindolphinsdiving@champmail.com. Please leave a message if we are do not pick up the phone. All classes are held at Green Mountain Recreation Centers on Sundays unless other arrangements are made~~we may occassionally have use of one or more of the other pools in Lakewood. We also have a pool in our facility during the summer months for other scheduling needs. Schedules may vary if we need to take a group diving in Cozumel or some other wonderful dive location. Attendance to all classes is mandatory unless other arragements are made at the time of registration. If the class you are participating in requires and academic session, that will be scheduled at a time convenient to the students and instructor.
Please call for information on any class. We will attempt to meet your needs as quickly as possible.
All Participants in SCUBA are required to complete a "Health Assessment" and may be required to have their physician's permission to dive.
*Discover Snorkeling & Snorkeling for Adults going on Cruises:
(6 years of age and older) Have you always loved the ocean but wanted to see
what’s under there? Here’s your opportunity. This is a single session class.
All equipment, except thermal, is provided. Cost is $20.00

you love snorkeling you might be interested in taking the full Skin

*Discover
SCUBA & *Future Buddies:(8
years of age and older) Here’s your chance to experience what it’s like to
breathe underwater and begin to explore the underwater environment. This is
a single session class. All equipment, except thermal, is provided. Cost is
$20.00.
The *Future Buddies Course is designed for younger children to provide them with an age appropriate introductory diving experience. $20.00
*Pool
Workout for CERTIFIED Divers: Do
you need some underwater time to relax and blow some bubbles? Would you like
to keep up your diving skills even-though you are unable to get to the ocean?
This is a single session class. All equipment, except thermal, is provided.
Be sure to bring your c-card! Divers from all certification agencies are welcome
to take advantage of this time. Cost is $25.00
*SCUBA Refresher for Inactive Divers: If it’s been more than a few months since you’ve been diving and you would like to prepare yourself for your upcoming dive trip, this is the class for you. This includes an academic refresher and pool time with a dive professional! This is a single session class. All equipment, except thermal, is provided. Be sure to bring your log book and c-card! Divers from all certification agencies are welcome to take a refresher class with us. Cost is $55.00.
NEW CLASS OFFERING~ THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE TO GET THIS CERTIFICATION IN COLORADO!
*SHALLOW WATER DIVER CERTIFICATION: USING THE MINI-B SYSTEM: Are you one of the many individuals who only wants to dive shallow water (30 feet or less)? If so, this equipment-specific program is for you! Learn to dive using the Mini-B system and become a diver certified to dive in a water depth that is 30 feet or less. This is the perfect system and training for the shallow Hawaiian and Florida reefs and is also perfect for boat owners who need to check underneath their boats for maintainence. All equipment for training (Mini-B system) except thermal protection is provided.
Purchase of the Mini-B system in order to dive is required following the class. Certification card will limit the depth you are allowed to dive to. This course involves an online independent study, academic, confined water time with an instructor and open water certification. Cost for the materials is $84.95; Cost for the confined water session is $100.00 and academic session $60.00. Referrals are included in the cost if you go to another location for the open water dives. However, there is a $125 fee for local open water certifications and referral location fees for certification will be the student's responsibility.
*Open-Water SCUBA Class leading to the completion of diver certification.(10 years of age for Junior Open Water Diver to age 16, then Open Water Diver) Did you know that Colorado has the second largest dive population per capita in the US? Become one of us!
This class lead you to a Scuba Diving International (SDI) diver certification! No dive tables to learn—begin diving immediately with a personal dive computer. We’re the only dive certification agency teaching you to dive with dive computers!
This is a home-study class ( read the book or view the cdrom, watch the video and answer the knowledge quest questions). We will teach you to SCUBA dive using state-of-the-art personal dive computers. There are 4 pool sessions and one academic session (the academic session is scheduled at our retail facility at a time convenient for the class members). You must be able to attend all class sessions. We will teach you all of the underwater and academic skills you need to become a safe SCUBA diver. Students will receive a referral to a destination (dive shop) of their choice or may join us for their 4 open water certification dives either locally next summer or in Cozumel (price not included in the cost of the class.) The cost of this class for the confined water session, the academic session(s) and the materials. ($286.00 total). Certification cards are and additional $25.00 plus tax. The cost of the 4 Open Water dives is an additional $145.00 if done with our staff. If you join us on a fun trip to Cozumel—the trip to Cozumel is an additional cost as well.
Open Water Certifications: We accept the referrals for Open Water Dives from other agencies and use the SDI Global Referral System for all levels of divers. Some additional study may be required to meet the SDI standards. We schedule Local Open Water Dives in August of every year at Kingfisher Pond @ Chatfield. We also schedule periodic trips to Cozumel or Park City to meet our diver's needs. Please contact us for a schedule. The cost for the Open Water Certification for Open Water Divers and/or Shallow Water Divers is $145. The cost of any associated travel to a dive destination will be an additional cost for the student.

CPR 1st Course:This course combines Basic First Aid and Cardio-Pulmonary Resusitation into a single class. This class takes approximately 6 hours. Wear comfortable and flexible clothing as this is a "hands on course". Minimum of 2 students required. Call to schedule this class. Cost is $55.00 plus certification card fee. If accepting an Insta-card, cost is included. Refresher Courses are $25.00 plus card.
CPROX Administrator:This course combines Cardio-Pulmonary Resusitation and the Oxygen Administrator Course. This class takes approximately 6 hours to complete. Wear comfortable and flexible clothing as this is a "hands on course". Minimum of 2 students required. Call to schedule this class. Cost is $60.00 plus $15.00 certification card fee. Refresher Courses are $25 plus card. If accepting an Insta-card, cost is included.
CPROX 1st Course/AED Administrator:This course combines Basic First Aid and Cardio-Pulmonary Resusitation and adds in the additional use of an AED unit into a single class. This class takes approximately 6 hours. Wear comfortable and flexible clothing as this is a "hands on course". Minimum of 2 students required. Call to schedule this class. Cost is $250 plus 92.54 for materials plus the 26.90 (tax included) certification card fee. If accepting an Insta-card, cost is included. Refresher Course every 2 years is $35.00.
Easy Nitrox: This class is designed for Recreational Divers to learn to dive Nitrox the easy way. Nitrox compatible/programmable personal dive computer is required. No certification dive is required for this certification. Cost is $160 for class, materials and certification card fee. No dives are required to complete this course. Please call to request this class, sessions will be run as needed.
Advanced Diver Development: Let us take you to the next level of diving. Following your first 25 dives you may enroll in this class to gain additional experience with supervision and guidance. This class will make you a better "buddy" and improve your skills and self-confidence. Cost is $499.99 for the academic portion, confined water, open water dives for 4 specialties: Navigation Diver; Computer Diver; Deep Diver and Boat Diver. Your open water dives will count as your first dive for the four specialties. Call to schedule this class.
Advanced Adventure Diver Specialty: There is no pre-requisite number of dives required before you may enroll in this class to gain additional experience with supervision and guidance. This class will make you a better "buddy" and improve your skills and self-confidence. Cost is $321.90 including tax class, confined water, materials certification card and your open water dives. This class includes a perspective on Navigation, Deep Diving, Computer Diving, Boat Diving and Drift Diving. If you're a Junior Open Water Diver another class will be substituted for the Deep Divin Class. There are 5 open water dives for this class. Call to schedule this class.
Rescue Diver: This great class not only builds your self confidence but assists you in helping yourself or other divers in the unlikely event that an emergency occurs. Cost is 406.95 includeds classroom, confined water trainin, materials with the exception of the rebreather mask, and your open water dives with your certification card upon successful completion. Minimum of 2 students required for class. Call to schedule or be put on a list.
Dive Master: So, you've decided to become a professional diver instead of a recreational diver! Congratulations! This is the first level of dive leadership training leading you to a rewarding career in diving. Begin working with divers and students under supervision as soon as you've completed this course. You will obtain a professional understanding of dive theory, organization, and supervision of students, which will qualify you to assist in diver training. You will also begin to re-develop your dive skills to presentation quality. This is an intensive class. Call to speak to one of to Jill Knapp about this course. Cost is $1250 for training and materials (does not include professional liability insurance). If you plan to assist with teaching there are also additional associated costs for SDI registration. We offer this course yearly. Schedule is based on times the students can be available. Minimum of 2 students required for class.
Assistant Instructor: This class continues the development of a dive professional that you began in the Dive Master course. You will learn additional teaching skills and work with students to hone their skills. Following the completion of this course you will be allowed to conduct some courses and some parts of the Open Water Class in independently and/or in conjunction with Instructor supervision. Call to speak to Jill Knapp about this course. We offer this course yearly. Schedule is based on times the students can be available. Minimum of 2 students required for class.
You may combine the Dive Master and the Assistant Instructor classes into one single class. Pleasse call for information.
Open Water Dive Instructor: This class will provide you with a professional learning experience in which you will continue to improve your watermanship skills, advanced and rescue skills as well as teaching skills for diving. This includes classroom skills, pool and open water skills as well as Utilizing SDI's progressive approach to diving and their materials you will become qualified to teach open water divers and supervise their certification dives. This course is divided into an Instructor Development Course (IDC)and an Instructor Evaluation Course (IEC). Please call for information. If you plan to teach, there are also additional associated costs (insurance). Call to speak to one of the Instructor Trainers (Jill or Scott) about this course. We offer this course yearly. Schedule is based on times the students can be available. Minimum of 2 students required for class.
Other Advanced classes offered include ( Minimum of 2 students required for most classes): Specialty classes are $40 per specialty not includin the cost of the materials. These may be done on trips with our professional escorts.

**Solo Diver is for very experienced recreational divers and requires an extensive interview with the Dive Instructor, extensive Review of Diver Experience as well as demonstration of appropriate dive, safety and planning skills as well as good diver judgement. Not all divers are qualified to become solo divers. May require up to 10 dives with the instructor. Additional equipment is also required and is not included in the cost. Certification is left to the discretion of the instructor. There are no automatic "sign offs" regardless of your training level. Cost is $460.30 includes materials, academics, any confined water practice and your open water dives and certfication card upon successful completion.
TDI Basic Nitrox: This is a more technically advanced nitrox training class which is used as an entry level for technical divers. Cost is $200 for class,$80 for materials and $26.90 for certfication card fee.
